Just a stone’s throw from our Leatherhead HQ (If you’re a good thrower)

Managed IT Services Ashstead

Ashtead is a proper old Surrey village, tucked about 16 miles south of London on the A24 between Epsom and Leatherhead, where the North Downs start rolling upward and a little tributary called The Rye winds through.

Trusted by over 200+ Clients

Ashstead’s history goes back further than you’d think (if you weren’t thinking it, you’re welcome…). Romans were making bricks and tiles here, and clay pits on Ashtead Common were still being worked centuries later. In 1880 the Sparrow brothers opened a brickworks that ran for about 30 years before shutting down, and for most of its life before that, Ashtead was simply a farming village, only really taking off once the railway arrived in 1859.

These days, its most famous export is corporate rather than agricultural: Ashtead Group started here in 1947 as a small plant and tool hire firm and has since grown into a global equipment rental giant, so that’s nice. There’s a healthy small business community too, from Merchandising to HR Services, Business Mentors to Independent Retailers.

If you visit, head to Ashtead Common  – home to over 2,300 ancient oak trees.

Fun bit of trivia: Ashtead is a “spring line settlement,” meaning it was built exactly where underground water naturally bubbles up to the surface — no wells needed. Drink that in 😊

It was all about getting the right systems in place for now, and I didn’t feel I was being upsold or pushed into anything. That really worked for me.
