How To Troubleshoot Common Printing Issues

OK, so this bit is about us! But it's helpful to give you an idea of the people behind the process, right?

This quick step guide will show you how to troubleshoot common printing issues.

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer. This could be a physical connection (like a USB cable) or a wireless connection.
  • Make sure that the printer’s electrical cord is plugged into an electrical outlet and that the power switch is turned on.
  • Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, then turn it back on.
  • Make sure your printer is set as the default printer and its status is not set to offline.
  • Windows has a built-in tool to help diagnose and fix common printer problems. To access it, go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Printer.
