About Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is a powerful collaboration tool that has become a staple in the modern workplace and allows teams to communicate, collaborate, and work together seamlessly, regardless of their physical location. With features such as chat, video conferencing, file sharing, and integration with other Microsoft products like Office 365, Teams has revolutionised the way teams work together.

In today’s fast-paced and remote work environment, Microsoft Teams provides a centralised hub for teams to connect and stay productive. Whether you’re in the office, working from home, or on the go, Teams ensures that everyone is on the same page and working towards a common goal.

Fixing Common Microsoft Teams Problems

In this ‘How to’ guide, we will explore some of the common problems you may encounter using Microsoft Teams app and how to troubleshoot and fix those issues to get you back up and running again.

  1. Make sure you’re connected to the internet. Teams needs a stable internet connection to function properly.
  2. Completely close out of the Microsoft Teams app (you might need to do this through the system tray), then reopen it.
  3. Make sure you’re using the latest version of Microsoft Teams. Click on your profile picture at the top of Teams, then select “Check for updates”. If not on the latest version, update your Microsoft Teams app t the latest version.
  4. Clear Teams Cache can sometimes solve some issues. You can do this by signing out of Teams and then signing back in.
  5. Use the test call feature in Teams to check your audio and video setup.
  6. If you’re using a VPN, try disabling it to see if that solves your issue.
  7. Check your device settings to make sure the microphone and camera are properly connected and selected in Teams settings.
  8. Restart your device to see if that resolves the issue.
  9. If you’re having trouble with screen sharing, make sure you have the latest version of Teams, and try sharing a different application or browser tab.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot common problems with Microsoft Teams and get back to collaborating with your team effectively.
